THE Ghanaian community, living in the UK under the Ghanaian Londoners Network banner, convened for their annual networking event on December 9th, sponsored by Diaspora Insurance.
The “Ghana Pre Christmas Networking Event London” organized by the property developer Nannette Della took place at the Fitzrovia Hotel in London in compliance with the Covid-19 protocols.
The event, which encompassed a wide variety of activities from business networking, socializing, a quiz to the delight of the spirited networkers, rounded off the Year of the Ghanaian Londoners.
Guest speakers: Chris Nii Abbosey, Philip Osei-Hwere, Isaac Prempeh, Adwoa Agyemang and Jeff Madzingo, Founders and CEO of Diaspora Insurance, gave presentations on their business experiences and advised start-ups.
The main sponsor of the Diaspora Insurance event is a company that specializes in the marketing and distribution of insurance products and risk management solutions specifically for African expatriates who live and work in developed countries such as the UK, Australia, the EU, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
Diaspora Insurance, a distributor of the bespoke Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan, was a perfect fit with the networkers as it caters to the needs of expatriates who often struggle to pay funeral bills when they lose a loved one overseas.
The Diaspora Funeral Cash Plan pays immediate cash to cover funeral expenses and allows Diasporans to get home coverage for themselves and their loved ones.
The Ghanaian Londoners Network was founded in 2009 by Adwoa Agyemang with the aim of giving African diasporans a space to meet new people while providing access to investment and business opportunities.
For its twelfth year in a row, the network has hosted several events such as Pre-Christmas Networking that strengthen Ghanaian culture, identity and economic prosperity.
