Theranos Exec threatened the investor with a lawsuit, said the jury

By Dorothy Atkins (Nov. 10, 2021, 10:44 p.m. EST) – A retired money manager testified on Wednesday in the criminal fraud trial of ex-Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes that Holmes cut communications when he asked for information and his application on liquidation investments in emails titled “PLEASE REACT !!!” faced legal threats from Theranos Executive and Holmes’ then romantic partner Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani.

Alan Eisenman, a former Bernstein Global Wealth Management asset manager, recalled investing in Theranos in its early stages in 2006 and again in 2013. But in 2015 he said his growing distrust of the company had reached a tipping point due to its transparency concerns and Holmes’ abrupt decision in 2010 …
