Square Mile adds two new hires to its research and advisory team

Square Mile has strengthened its research and advisory team with two new hires.

Ajay Vaid (pictured) and Ibrahim Ishmail will join as Investment Research Analyst and Investment Research Assistant, respectively.

Vaid and Ishmail will help maintain the universe of Square Mile’s rated funds, conduct rating reviews through regular interviews with fund managers, and research new strategies for the broader team. Vaid will also be responsible for providing advisory services to clients and will take the lead in certain key advisory relationships.

Vaid joins from Tilney where he was an equity fund analyst specializing in emerging global markets, Japan and Asia Pacific ex Japan. During his eight years at Tilney, Vaid led research on these sectors and shaped fund selection for around £ 3 billion in client money.

Ishmail previously served as an operational due diligence analyst on the funds team at Barclays Wealth Management. He previously worked as an analyst at SG Wealth Management, helping the CIO manage discretionary portfolios with assets under management in excess of £ 200 million.
