Carruthers was Iress Principal Consultant for two years and previously held senior positions at Newcastle Building Society, Aldermore and RBS Group.
He will be responsible for helping more customers achieve efficiency and automation through the implementation of Iress’ Mortgage Sales and Origination Platform (MSO). He will report to Iress’ Executive General Manager, Lending, Andrew Simon.
Carruthers said, “It’s an exciting time in the mortgage industry and it’s changing rapidly. Last year’s mortgage efficiency survey found that lenders are realigning their technology efforts to achieve a better balance between human interaction and process automation.
“The recent reliance on remote working has made digital efficiency and customer experience paramount now, and I am excited to have the opportunity to help more lenders make this journey a reality.”
Andrew Simon, Iress Executive General Manager, Lending said, “For the past two years, Steve’s has played an essential role in demonstrating the value of MSO to a wide range of forward-thinking lenders.
“He brings a deep understanding of the customer experience and an unmatched ability to connect lenders to the right technology to achieve their goals. We are eagerly awaiting the positive impact he will have on customers in this leadership role. “
